Beginning Weaving Workshop $165

  • The Carver Room at Old Salt Marketplace 5027 Northeast 42nd Avenue Portland, OR, 97218 United States (map)

In this 3 hour workshop you'll learn the basics of weaving on a simple wooden frame loom from Portland fiber artist Natalie Novak.

In class we'll create stripes, shapes, texture and fringe using a variety of yarns and natural fibers.  We'll also cover terms and techniques to help unravel the mysteries of weaving and learn how to finish and hang your first woven piece.  You'll go home with your own loom, enough yarn to complete your first weaving and an illustrated instruction booklet in case you forget!
